首先，说几个词的发音，The Grand Canyon 大峡谷， Canyon /ˈkænjən/,  注意这里 yon 的发音 /jən/，/j/ 不要读成“ 用“;  最后，Established  /ə'stæblɪʃt/, 尾音虽然它是ed结尾，但它的尾音是 t , 不是 d。

第一句， The Grand Canyon is 277 miles long,

这一段话里，Grand Canyon 是主语，我们重读。 把语速放慢，声调上扬，表示强调。 277 miles long，是重点，所以277 要重读。 这里稍微说一下,  277 除了可以读作， two hundred and seventy seven, 还可以读作 two hundred seventy seven。

在这句话里，侧重强调的是大峡谷的宽和深。 所以在这里宽和深才是需要被强调的，wide 被重读，速度放慢表强调，之后的 depth 也需要重读。 句尾的 of over a mile 要降调。
