Analytics & Data Science Summer 2020 Co-op/Intern - Montreal
The Analytics & Data Science Co-op/Intern will perform a variety of activities, which may include:
1. Data Science/Advanced Analytics: Participate in projects supporting a broad range of data driven solutions by applying a variety of techniques to build out models.
2. Business Insight Analysis: Support team by providing analytics and insights to recommend actions that will enable optimal business decisions and/or resolves complex business problems. Identify opportunities to drive business growth and value.
3. Visualization: Provide data visualization support by employing various techniques to support the business in interpreting info and communicating implications and/or recommendations to the business.
4. Business Intelligence: Design and develop dashboards and scorecards to support business needs, ensuring alignment of metrics across the organization.
5. Data Management: Participate in projects by analyzing approaches, processes, and tools to support the business data strategy.
6. Targeted Deliverables: Participate as part of a team working on initiatives designed to improve decisions, processes, systems and applications which support our key businesses.
1. Currently enrolled in a recognized post-secondary program, majoring in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Statistics, Data Analytics or related.
2. Strong statistical and analytical skills and interest are necessary.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
4. Experience in one or more of Python, R, SQL, SAS or other data-related programming languages.
5. Experience with Data Management, Data Analytics and Project Management is a plus.
This position is a 4-month work term (potential to extend to 8 months) and will commence May 4, 2020.
