passionate business development professional with extensive knowledge of
international education to join our Schools Development Team. The role
will develop and enhance relationships with our existing and potential
customers.

What you’ll be doing
As
Business Development Manager, West China, you will make an effective
contribution to the work of the larger regional team for East Asia. The
role will be varied and will include supporting schools with the
implementation of Cambridge programmes such as A Level and IGCSE. You
will deliver presentations at events and conferences to promote
Cambridge qualifications and services and work with schools to
understand their development needs and to devise plans which meet those
needs.
What we’re looking for
You
will be an effective communicator, skilled in building collaborative
relationships, and have credibility representing Cambridge International
Examinations effectively with school principals, teachers and advisers.
You will have an excellent knowledge of Cambridge International
Examinations, our competitors’ products and of Chinese educational
policy.
You
will be able to demonstrate strong problem solving skills and the
ability to handle a variety of tasks in an effective and timely way.
Excellent command of spoken and written Mandarin and English in a
business context is essential.
Skills and Experience
Essential
•
Ability to develop on-going relationships with our customers at a
senior level as well as with government officials and other
stakeholders
• Proven business development experience
• Attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring that schools receive a quick response to all correspondence
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
• Confident communication and presentation skills
• Fluency in English and local business language, both written and oral
• Good proven IT skills, including knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Desirable
• Knowledge of international education programmes and qualifications
• Basic technical knowledge of assessment and of key educational issues both in the UK and in the location
• Experience of working in an international organization
