Sun Yat-sen University - Business School

Established in 1985, Sun Yat-sen University - Business School (SYSBS) is one of the pioneer schools engaged in business education and research. SYSBS has two disciplines: Business Administration (National Key Discipline), Management Science and Engineering (Provincial Key Discipline). SYSBS is a leading business school in China. She is the first to be awarded triple accreditations by AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA in China.

Positions available

1.Leader Scholar：

Applicants should have profound academic attainments, made remarkable achievements in the field he/she engaged in and have important influence in Academia at home and abroad. Age under 50.

2.Backbone Scholar：

Applicants should have strong independent research ability, high academic attainments and great potential for development. Age under 43.

3.Youth Scholar：

Applicants should have important academic achievement and good development potential. Age under 38.

Applicants as above should provide evidence of publication in academic journals and experience in securing competitive research funding.

Applicants should hold a doctoral degree not more than three years, age under 35, with outstanding cultivation potential, outstanding youth scholars, and published at least one paper in Q1 area.

1. Postdoctoral Researcher

Applicants should hold a doctoral degree not more than three years, with outstanding scientific research achievements, and meet the requirements for the position of Research Fellow. Age under 35.

2. Research Fellow

Applicants should have outstanding academic potential and research achievements. Published at least 3 outstanding academic achievements in principle. Have worked as postdoctoral fellows, lecturers or assistant professors in well-known universities or research institutions at home or abroad. At least one provincial or ministerial research project (applicants from overseas are not required). Age under 38.

3. Associate Research Fellow

Applicants should be outstanding doctoral graduates or postdoctoral from well-known universities or research institutions at home or abroad, with great academic potential, and had good scientific research achievements. Published at least 2 outstanding academic achievements in principle. Age under 38.

Responsibilities and Requirements

• Lecturing 1-2 key course(s) to undergraduates and postgraduates

•Developing and guiding research students under guidance of the supervisor

•Manage research projects and as appropriate, supervise student research projects

•Conducting research in theoretical and practical areas of specialty

•Proactive in participating major national research projects, striving to achieve key academic achievements

•Publish the outcomes of research in journals of international standing

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation package and working conditions are competitive according to the international standard. Attractive start-up research fund and resettlement allowance will be provided.

Social welfare benefits stipulated by the state, Guangdong Province and schools, including subsidies for housing (i.e. rental, resettlement housing, etc.), social insurance, housing accumulation fund, health care, quality educational resources for children, etc.

Associate Professor / Full Professor may apply for six-month paid sabbatical leave after every three years of service.
