伊迪·塞吉威克（Edie Sedgwick），Andy Warhol 镜头下的“Poor Little Rich Girl”，六十年代中期的“Youthquakers”。在某种意义上，她就是安迪的洛丽塔，从首次合作的《切尔西女郎》开始，她持续为安迪带来了源源不断的灵感，不到一年的时间，她成了参演安迪电影做多的工厂女孩。不仅只是工厂里最璀璨的“Surperstar”，她作为纽约六十年代的宠儿也曾迷倒过鲍勃·迪伦、吉姆·莫瑞森、米克·贾格尔等诸多摇滚明星。28 岁时，Edie 死于吸毒过量。
“你难道不该为Edie写一首歌吗？”Andy 曾对 Lou Reed 这样说过。“要什么样的歌呢？”Lou 问道。“哦！”Andy 感叹着，“你难道不觉得她就是红颜祸水吗？”于是，Lou 便写出了上面这首最为人熟知的关于 Edie 的歌。

结识 Edie 时，Dylan 正在创作《Blonde on Blonde》这张专辑，很多迹象表明，专辑中的《Just like a woman》和《Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat》都和 Edie 有关。如果说前者是怀着对Edie的爱——“She aches just like a woman，But she breaks just like a little girl.”，那么后者可能就不那么善意了：“But i know what he really loves you for，It's your brand new leopard-skin pill-box hat.（Edie 很喜欢穿貂皮外套）”
Dylan 的出现对 Andy 来说是一个威胁，2006 年一部叫《工厂女孩》的电影将这种威胁展现得很具体，也很肤浅。导演虽然站在 Dylan 这边，将 Edie 的悲剧怪罪在 Andy 身上（责怪 Andy 不给她片酬，引诱她吸毒），但恐怕 Dylan 也不愿承认电影中自己的形象（像偶像剧剧情一样，酷炫的 Dylan 在 Edie 面前把摩托开到了湖里）。而事实上，Dylan 为了让 Edie 离开 Andy，骗她说自己正在筹备一部“真正的”大片（其实完全不着边际）。所以那段时间，Edie 张口闭口都是 Bobby、Bobby，她已经完全被 Dylan 掌控了。后来当 Andy 告诉她，鲍勃·迪伦已经和萨拉结婚了时，Edie 懊丧到了极点，痛苦得忍不住全身发抖。她还真的以为自己可以和 Dylan 共度一生。

写这篇推文的直接动机是因为上面这首叫《It Don’t Rain in Beverly Hills》的歌。歌曲出自 Dean & Britta 乐队 2010 年的专辑《13 Most Beautiful: Songs For Andy Warhol's Screen Tests》。这是 Dean & Britta 受 Andy Warhol Museum 的委托创作的一张概念专辑，用在安迪的试镜影像中表演，专辑名中的“13 Most Beautiful”其实也是 Andy Warhol 的一个影像计划——《13 Most Beautiful Boys》。
在我看来，这是一张清晰版的地下丝绒（翻唱自地下丝绒的一首《Not a Young Man Anymore》或许最能说明这一点），也是最黯淡的一组“工厂”主题曲。虽然不像Lou Reed那样在歌名中就写出“工厂”女星的名字（Candy、Lisa、Stephanie），但这张专辑无疑为六七十年代里Andy Warhol的“工厂”故事做出了新世纪的最好注解。《International Velvet Redux》显然是在写 Susan Bottomly，我也几乎确信，《It Don’t Rain in Beverly Hills》写的正是 Edie Sedgwick。
