It is time to lay eggs!
现在是下蛋的时间了！
It is the first time these young hens have ever laid eggs, and for some of them, it hurts.
这可是小鸡们第一次下蛋。看，有的疼得哇哇直哭。
"Oh, what lovely eggs you've laid!"
The mother hens are very happy.
“啊，多可爱的蛋呀！”鸡妈妈们高兴坏了。
Only the young hen Carmela refuses to lay eggs.
只有小鸡卡梅拉拒绝下蛋。
"'Lay eggs!' 'Lay eggs!' Always asking us to lay eggs!" She grumbles unhappily.
“下蛋，下蛋，总是下蛋！”她生气地说。
"There must be more interesting things to do in our lives!"
“生活中应该还有更好玩的事可做！”
Perrault the cormorant has been to many places. Carmela likes his stories about the sea most of all.
卡梅拉更喜欢听鸬鹚佩罗讲大海的故事。佩罗曾经游历过很多地方！
He may brag a little, but Carmela is excited by his tales of the sea.
尽管他说话有些夸张，但卡梅拉还是十分着迷这些美妙的故事。
"Someday, I will see the sea!"
“总有那么一天，我也要去看看大海！”
Night falls!
It is time to go back to the chicken coop again.
一天晚上，又到了该回鸡窝睡觉的时间。
"I don't want to go to sleep like my fellow young hens," says Carmela.
“我不想睡觉！我才不要像其他小鸡一样呢！”卡梅拉说。
I want to see the sea!
我想去看大海！
