But that’s NOT true. It’s just someone’s opinion. There’s NO right way.
The type of English that you learn and decide to focus on should be based on your own situation as well as your own preference.
Much like an American who wants to study Chinese but can’t figure out whether to study the Beijing accent or the Taiwan accent.
Just think about where you want to go and what type of English you are more likely to use in daily life.
If you are spending most of your time in the US, you might want to talk more like an American.
Or if the majority of your friends are from the UK and you really want to blend in, I think you should really try to learn to sound more like them.
