Auto Guangzhou 2024 set to open this Friday

The 22nd Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition, one of China’s most prestigious auto events, will take place from Nov 15 to 24 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex (Canton Fair Complex).

Spanning over 220,000 square meters, Auto Guangzhou 2024 will feature both indoor and outdoor exhibition spaces.

This year’s event will showcase the global premieres of 78 vehicles, including six from international automakers. A total of 1,171 vehicles will be on display, with 512 of them being new energy vehicles (NEVs). The NEV sector, which highlights advancements in electrification and smart technology, reflects China’s ongoing push for high-quality growth in the automotive industry.

The exhibition will open on Nov 15 for journalists and special guests, followed by professional visitor days on Nov 16 and 17, with tickets priced at 100 yuan. From Nov 18 to 24, the event will open to the public, with general admission tickets available for 50 yuan.

In addition to the exhibition, high-profile industry events will bring together experts, executives and policymakers. The 2024 Guangzhou Auto Industry Development Summit, scheduled for Nov 15-16, will explore the theme “Unleashing New-Quality Productivity, Opening New Horizons”.

Organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Automotive Committee and the China Foreign Trade Center, the summit will feature participants from Chinese government bodies, global automotive giants and technology innovators, discussing the latest trends in global automotive development and opportunities for collaboration.

On Nov 16, the Auto Innovation Conference will focus on “Collaboration and Innovation”. Organized by the Investment Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Commerce, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Automotive Committee, and the China Foreign Trade Center, the conference will include panel discussions on international partnership strategies for Chinese auto brands, new market opportunities for foreign automakers in China, and transformations in the automotive supply chain.

The event is expected to provide valuable insights into the future of cross-border automotive cooperation, supporting the industry’s evolution toward a sustainable, tech-driven future.

Since its inception in 2003, Auto Guangzhou has embraced the theme “New Tech, New Life,” showcasing innovations in automotive technology and fostering connections between the global automotive industry and one of its largest markets.
