Dental Hygiene.
When I was around 11 I realized that my elder brother was rarely brushing his teeth yet his teeth were blinding white. On the other hand, no matter how lazy I was, I was forcing myself to brush them every single night. Then I asked him.
Me: I brush my teeth more frequently than you do still yours look healthier than mine.
Bro: Yeah, I brush them once a week but when I do, I brush for 7~10 minutes. That is my secret.
This mind-blowing explanation made lots of sense to me that time ( never claimed I was a smart kid) and I decided to follow his so-called advice for about almost a year.
Then one day my mom told me that I had a bad breath and my teeth looks yellow. She insisted me to open my mouth and made the mistake of looking inside of my mouth. I remember clear as day how horrified she was. 2 days later I was sitting on the dentist chair. It was a painful experience. After this not-so fun dentist visit I became obsessed with dental hygiene as a result when I talk with people my attention goes straight to their teeth.
If I meet with someone who takes care of his/her appearance but has a bad breath and unhealthy teeth combination, I automatically think they are lazy in this manner and they don’t even bother to spend 5 minutes for this short but highly important activity, which can save or create them a lot of trouble in the long term.
