Australia’s Woodside Energy is on track with three of its key global projects under development against the backdrop of record annual production in 2024, which was boosted by its Sangomar field coming on stream.

Woodside's multibillion-dollar Scarborough gas megaproject was 78% complete at the end of the fourth quarter, with the final Pluto Train 2 modules arriving at the Pluto LNG site in December. The project remains on target to deliver its first liquefied natural gas cargo in 2026, Woodside confirmed on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the operator’s Trion field development offshore Mexico was 20% complete at the end of Q4, with construction of the floating production unit commencing in November at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea. First oil from Trion is still targeted for 2028.
