Boys and girls work their fingers to the bone toiling for pennies to make bricks in Nepal.

As Nepalese cities continue to grow and the nation struggles to recover from two earthquakes in 2015, the demand for bricks is higher than ever .

Children as young as eight are being subjected to back-breaking, 14-hour days and the children are not even paid for their toil, with their parents picking up their measly pay cheques.

摄影师Jan Hansen在2013-2016年间在尼泊尔加德满都河谷拍摄了大量超低龄童工在当地砖窑辛劳工作的照片。他估计，当地约200家砖窑雇佣了15-17.5万人，每人每天需要工作12-14个小时。

在尼泊尔的砖窑里，工人的年龄小到8岁，大到50岁，他们每天被要求工作14个小时的时间，通常他们的家就安置在砖窑附近，所以对很多孩子来说，他们的童年就是这座砖窑。
