The
International Studies of Economics (ISE)
invites
submissions of manuscripts for a special issue on "Climate Change and
Energy Transition", scheduled for publication in December 2025.
Global climate change
and extreme weather create significant challenges to human beings, and lead to significant
efforts from countries around the world on transition to low-carbon, clean, and
efficient energy. In this context, we would like to invite you to elaborate on the
impact of climate change and the energy transition on economics.
This special issue invites
research papers related to economics studies on climate change, climate risk,
carbon reduction, carbon neutrality, carbon efficiency, clean energy production
and consumption, as well as research papers on how climate change and the
energy transition affect environmental and/or economic systems. Potential
research directions include but are not limited to the following:
1.
Economic causes of
climate change and climate risk, such as industrial structure, energy
structure, energy poverty and inequality.
2.
Impacts of climate
change and energy transition on the environmental and economic system.
3.
Policy design and
simulation of carbon emission reduction and carbon neutrality based on economic
policy evaluation methods.
4.
The impact of the
new round of scientific and technological revolution on energy transformation,
such as artificial intelligence and digital economy.
5.
The economic
analysis of clean energy replacing traditional fossil energy, such as the
economic analysis of the development of China's electric vehicle industry.
