这部《花木兰》的选角过程可并不简单。
The process of casting for
Mulan
was not simple.
剧组的选角导演们跨越了5个大洲，面试了将近1000人。
The casting directors went across 5 continents and interviewed nearly 1,000 people.
他们需要的演员，不光需要有武术功底，还需要流利的英语，最重要的，是需要有一个合格演员应该有的演技。
The actress they needed was someone who can do martial arts and speak English fluently. And most importantly, they needed an eligible actress who is competent in acting.
而最后，他们选中了刘亦菲。
At last, they chose Liu Yifei.
随后，网上流传出一张她的动图，这是一段不带任何特效的武术片段，不得不说，真的实至名归。
Later, a video footage of her doing martial arts without any special effect got circulated on the Internet. Once you see it, you’ll know that she really deserves it.
另一方面，许多人可能不知道，刘亦菲的英语说得非常流利。
On the other hand, what most people don’t know is that Liu Yifei is proficient in English.
因为她早在10岁的时候就随着母亲去了美国，在纽约生活了4年。
Because she went to the US with her mother when she was 10 and lived in New York for 4 years.
而除此之外，她还会讲法语，并在2006年出版过一张日语专辑。

They didn’t need any acting skill and didn’t plan to have any. They were happy with the IPs they already had in hand.
即使演员们自己有心，也没有机会在里面施展。
