【IT狂人】“打卡”其实应该这么说

marathon除了可以表示马拉松，还可以指：an activity that continues for a long time and needs a lot of energy, patience, or determination 像马拉松一样持久，需要很大精力、耐心或决心的活动 。

剧中指一口气花很长时间看Steven Seagai的电影，和 binge-watch 意思相近。

比如我国长寿节目《外来媳妇本地郎》就可以称之为marathon——自播出以来已经有了3800多集。

词根punch作为动词本来指用拳头打，试想一下去听一个讲座，听了演讲人的讲话内容后仿佛迎面被揍了一拳似的瞬间被打醒，醍醐灌顶。这个词指的即是：a punchy piece of writing or speech is short but has an immediate and forceful impact 〔文章或演讲〕简短有力的 。

其实punch作为 名词 有一个我们不那么熟悉的意思：a strong effective way of expressing things that makes people interested 〔语言文字的〕力量，感染力 。

每天背单词"打卡"，这类打卡，可以用 daily attendance 来表示；去网红店"打卡"，其实指的是去那儿拍照片，可以说 take the perfect Wechat Moments snap at an internet-famous site ，也可以简单地就说去过，I've been to xxx；还有一位up主化用凯撒的名言"I came. I saw. I conquered."，去了网红店打卡，说成"It's a place where I came, I saw, I took pictures, just like what Caesar once said."我觉得很适合用在日常生活中来表达"网红店打卡"的意思。

什么东西飘到头上来了，指的是：if success goes to someone’s head, it makes them feel more important than they really are 〔成功〕使飘飘然，使冲昏头脑 。

我们平时说的“ 喝酒喝上头 ”也可以用这个表达：if alcohol goes to your head, it quickly makes you feel drunk.

还记得以前我们遇到过的 wasted 也可以表示“喝醉的”吗？但是程度和这里遇到的短语不同，它形容 very drunk .

这个短语可和跳舞没啥关系，表示：to avoid discussing something or dealing with it directly.其实可以想象，你问了一个问题，但我就在这个话题周围跳跃，就是不回答这个问题，有点中文"斡旋"、"顾左右而言他"的意思。
