通货膨胀是当下高层管理者们最关心的问题之一,尤其是在制造业中。每个品牌都深切感受到通货膨胀的影响,这迫使营销人员必须谨慎管理预算。如何在应对这一经济挑战时确保营销活动的效果,是品牌获得长期成功的关键。


在我们的调研中,有83%的受访者将此视为关键问题,这对企业内部成本和预算安排产生了较大的影响,也需要营销人员采取及时、精准的策略。以下三个重点尤其值得关注:


最大化营销效果并关注消费者: 营销人员 应该优先考虑高投资回报率的活动,使用营销自动化和数据分析等工具,以实现更好的定位和预算优化。在通货膨胀期间,消费者对价格更加敏感,因此在信息传递中要重点强调产品质量和价值。


创新的定价策略: 尝试更小 尺寸 的产品、实施捆绑销售,以及强化与价格相匹配的产品优势,是有效应对通胀的手段。促销活动应着重展示与消费者购买意愿相吻合的产品特性。


利用数据进行战略调整: 利用数据洞察消费者行为、价格敏感度和购买模式,可以帮助营销人员调整策略并设定有竞争力的价格。在经济压力下,数据驱动的决策对于保持竞争优势和建立有效的营销策略至关重要。

应如何更具策略性地使用预算?为了能够优先考虑高投资回报率的活动,避免效果较差的策略,营销人员需要采用能够提供可衡量结果和更好定位能力的渠道和工具。例如营销自动化和数据分析工具,可以通过识别最有效的渠道和策略来优化预算分配。

通货膨胀带来了重大挑战,但通过战略调整,营销人员可以持续挖掘营销投资的真正价值。通过专注于价值、利用数据并采用创新的定价策略,企业可以保持竞争优势,并确保其营销活动在经济压力下仍然有效。

Strategies that Work


Every brand feels the impact of inflation, challenging marketing professionals to safeguard their budgets. For marketers, the ability to navigate this economic hurdle while maintaining effective campaigns is crucial for long-term success.


As noted, inflation is a top concern among executives, particularly in manufacturing. 83% of our respondents identify it as a critical issue. This economic factor impacts internal costs and budgeting, necessitating a strategic response from marketers.


· Maximized Effectiveness and Consumer Focus: Marketers should prioritize high-ROI activities using tools like marketing automation and data analytics for better targeting and budget optimization. Emphasizing product quality and value in messaging is crucial as consumers become more price-sensitive during inflation.


· Innovative Pricing Strategies: Exploring smaller product sizes, bundling, and emphasizing benefits that justify prices are effective ways to address inflation. Promotions should highlight product benefits aligning with consumer willingness to pay.


· Leveraging Data for Strategic Adjustments: Using data to understand consumer behavior, price sensitivity, and purchasing patterns helps marketers adjust strategies and set competitive prices. Data-driven decisions are critical for maintaining competitive edge and effective marketing efforts amid economic pressures.

Maximized effectiveness from launch phase

So how can marketers become more strategic in their spending?  To be able to prioritize high-ROI activities and cutting back on less effective tactics, marketers need to adopt channels and tools  that provide measurable results and better targeting capabilities. Tools like marketing automation and data analytics can help optimize budget allocation by identifying the most effective channels and strategies.

Keeping the focus on the consumer

As inflation affects consumer purchasing power, customers become more price-sensitive. That, however, is not where marketing strategies should place focus on. While consumers work with limited budgets, they still expect value and quality. Marketers should emphasize the quality and value proposition of their products. In fact, 46% of respondents to a recent survey* said they typically prepare a shopping list in advance of shopping.


Marketers can make the most of that instinct and ensure their brand is on that shopping list through targeted messaging that highlights how their offerings meet customer needs at a fair price. Quality remains a key topic for consumers, with 91% considering it crucial in purchasing decisions. Also, consumers needs and inclinations are geared towards personalization, health and wellness, and sustainability.  The right messaging can help the consumer connect the dots.

The price on the shelf

Inflation calls for innovative pricing strategies. Marketers can explore offering smaller product sizes at lower price points or bundling products to provide perceived value. Promotions should focus on communicating the benefits that justify the price, aligning with the finding that two-thirds of businesses plan to highlight product benefits that consumers are willing to pay for.

Using data to pave the way

Data plays a vital role in navigating inflationary pressures. Marketers should leverage data to understand consumer behavior and adjust strategies accordingly. Insights into price sensitivity and purchasing patterns can inform promotional strategies and help in setting competitive prices without eroding margins. Data-driven decisions are critical, with executives indicating that data insights are highly influential in pricing and promotional strategies.


Inflation presents a significant challenge, but with strategic adjustments, marketers can continue to unlock the true value of their marketing investments. By focusing on value, leveraging data, and adopting innovative pricing strategies, businesses can maintain their competitive edge and ensure their marketing efforts remain effective despite economic pressures.
