·Reimagining Mercantile Legacies through Family Virtues
The Kang Millionaire Manor was originally built at the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty. Twelve generations of the Kang family lived in this manor, spanning the Ming, Qing, and Republic of China periods, for a total of over 400 years. Historically, the Kang family's fleet shuttled along the waterways of the Yellow River, Luo River, and the Grand Canal, transporting bulk commodities such as salt, cloth, wood, and grain, forming a commercial pattern of "ships traveling along six rivers." In the future, the waterside space of the Kang Millionaire Manor will focus on the spirit of Henan merchants, canal transportation culture, and Kang Millionaire culture, using "the path of wealth" as a clue to create diverse cultural and commercial content, and recreate the prosperity of water transportation commerce. We look forward to joining hands with designers to empower the city in new ways with the commercial genes that have flowed for four hundred years.
