I think it's a brilliant idea to have quiet or silent cars on trains, for many reasons.

First, during long trips, some people like to take a nap , read a book or collect their thoughts. In such instances, having someone talking loudly on their cell phone next to you is super annoying. If the terms of the "quiet cars" are enforced, people who like a moment of peace can finally get what they want.

Conversely, having these cars also means that people who want to make calls or type away on their keyboard can feel free to do so on "regular" or "cell phone friendly" cars without feeling judged.
