The terrifying moment a silo filled with corn toppled over and caused a flaming explosion was caught on video.

Jordan White, from  Switz City, Indiana, posted the video of the explosion at his family's White Farms Inc Monday afternoon and it quickly racked up millions of views.

Relative Jake White, who was also there, said the family had owned the silo for more than five years and had filled it a number of times without any problems until Monday.

The video shows the silo slowly tipping over until it finally falls and all the corn floods out, hitting three power boxes that ignite the corn dust and create the explosion. The onlookers immediately back away and scream, but the fire extinguishes itself quickly

Though they put a truck below the overhead tank to try to get some of the corn out of the bin before it completely toppled over, that didn't work.

Instead, the video shows the silo slowly tipping over until it finally falls and all the corn floods out, hitting three power boxes that ignite the corn dust and create the explosion.

The onlookers immediately back away and scream, but the fire extinguishes itself quickly.

As the dust settles, the person filming slowly walks closer and simply says: 'Another day at the farm' before the two-and-a-half minute video ends.

Thankfully no one was injured in the incident, but the family has plenty of work cut out for them.

Jake said the flames damaged the 180-foot elevator, so it will be useless for harvest in three weeks.

'If only these million viewers came out with shovels to help out,' Jake wrote on Facebook. 

'We appreciate all the support from all around the world. Farming isn't easy, but we will make it work.'

By Tuesday night, the video had been viewed more than 9million times.
