The Centre for Cognitive and Brain Sciences at the University of Macau, is seeking
full-time post-doctoral fellows
. The CCBS of UM provides an ideal training environment for postdoctoral fellows with exceptional research resources to facilitate their growths and the chance to work with highly esteemed national and international collaborators across multiple disciplines.
There are two potential projects for post-doctoral fellows to work with: 1)
Anxiety, Gaming and Curiosity Study
, designed to determine neural profiles associated with curiosity and psychiatric symptom sets (externalizing disorders, mood and anxiety) in both healthy control and patients; 2)
study on mentalization and decision-making
using EEG/fMRI in healthy subjects and intracranial recordings (sEEG) in patients with epilepsy.
Candidates must have (or near completion of) a
Ph.D. degree
and a background in
neuroscience, social psychology, behavioral economics, computational neuroscience, or related fields. The candidates must be adept at
statistics analysis, signal processing, and python/MATLAB programming
. Previous experience in simultaneous EEG/fMRI experiments, advanced multivariate data analysis, and computational modeling is desirable.
The postdoctoral fellow will have opportunities to work with diverse brain technologies in the group, including research-dedicated 3T fMRI scanner, EEG, TMS, eye trackers, Biopacs, and other useful resources. The postdoctoral fellow will a) develop and implement cutting-edge fMRI analysis tools, b) be primarily responsible for the dissemination of findings (e.g. publications and conference proceedings), and c) work with/co-supervise Ph.D. students from BME and CS background.

a) Monthly remuneration of MOP40,000 (taxable);
b) Annual conference/research travel allowance up to MOP20,000;
