Dr. Athar Osama is the  Member of the Planning Commission and one ofthe leading science and innovation policy adviser to the Government ofPakistan.  He also the founder of PakistanInnovation Foundation (PIF)and the Muslim World Science Initiative. At PIF, Dr.Osama has spearhead fundraising and executive responsibility for developing anddelivering several innovation programmes including a National Innovation GrandChallenges (NIGC) initiative, an annual Conference (Pakistan Innovation Forum),and National Innovation Awards. Prior to this, Dr. Osama was the Director of Middle East and Asia for Angle Plc. - a UK-based technology commercializationconsulting, management, and venture capital firm that specialized innovationprogrammes, incubators, and research parks in Europe, North America, and theMiddle East. From 1999-2006, Dr. Osama worked at the RAND Corporation - one ofthe world's leading public think tanks where he helped develop US Army'sVenture Capital Fund. Dr. Osama has advised and consulted for several state andnational governments across Asia, Middle East, Europe, and North America andinstitutions like DfiD, ADB, UN, The OIC, The Carbon Trust, and The RoyalSociety, among others. Dr. Osama is the Fellow of the New York-based WorldTechnology Network (WTN) and a Young Global Leader (2013-18) for the WorldEconomic Forum (WEF). Dr. Osama graduated with a PhD in public policy from thePardee RAND Graduate School in Santa Monica, CA and has a Bachelors degree inAeronautical Engineering from Pakistan Airforce Academy where he won thecoveted 'Sword of Honor'

HruyTsegaye, BA degree majoring in Journalism and Literature and with a minor inEconomics. Hruy Tsegaye began his professional career as a Program Officer fora governmental agency called HIV AIDS Prevention and Control Office (HAPCO). Hehad worked there for two years and came back to the capital and Joined FortuneNewspaper as a junior reporter. Working in the largest English weekly newspaperhas its merits when it comes to understanding what’s going on in your country.After that, Hruy Tsegaye started working for a company called 4Afri MobileTechnologies as Head of Idea Development. Now, he joined the iCog Lab companyas its 4th permanent staff and currently besides sharing 10% of the iCog makersInitiative as a Project Manager. iCog Labs (aka iCog-Labs Software Consultancy)is a research and development company based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia,collaborating with international AI research groups and serving customersaround the world. The company has helped its customers with a variety ofprojects, but our core specialty is artificial intelligence, including machinelearning based data analysis, computational linguistics, computer vision,mobile robots and cognitive robotics, cognitive architectures, and artificialgeneral intelligence.

Victor Freundt is an Industrial Designer from Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru (PUCP). He is Manager of MarcaPeru Lab from PromPeru, which is the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism. His function is to encourage the development of 21st Century Skills and strategies for co-creation, through the use of Exploration and Fabrication Technologies and STEAM methodology between coworkers. He also plans innovative solutions to promote Peru in brand new fields based on the raise of new Information and Communication Technologies and Digital Fabrication Techniques. He is also consultant of Ministry of Education for building upcoming Makerspaces in high schools from rural areas of Peru to learn about entrepreneurship and creativity. He is a FabLearn Fellow from Stanford University and Co-Founder of FabLab in Peru. He was winner of MIT Technology Review, Innovators Under 35 years old in Peru in 2013. He is a strong believer that in order to innovate in production, services and experiences, the first aspect is the positive transformation of mindset in citizens with a high priority in empathy, imagination and team work without judgment and fear of making mistakes. He also likes to take risks to acquire more inputs for future development projects.

Maker enthusiast, I used to spend my free time in makerspaces as a hobbyist. I participated in many hackathons dedicated to IOT and co-founded a french based start-up helping companies to prototype and test new ideas using the power of makerspaces and maker spirit. I volunteered for MakerTour in 2016 to help building connections and collaborations between labs.
