Prior to this, Dr. Osama was the Director of Middle East and Asia for Angle Plc. - a UK-based technology commercializationconsulting, management, and venture capital firm that specialized innovationprogrammes, incubators, and research parks in Europe, North America, and theMiddle East. From 1999-2006, Dr. Osama worked at the RAND Corporation - one ofthe world's leading public think tanks where he helped develop US Army'sVenture Capital Fund. Dr. Osama has advised and consulted for several state andnational governments across Asia, Middle East, Europe, and North America andinstitutions like DfiD, ADB, UN, The OIC, The Carbon Trust, and The RoyalSociety, among others. Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru (PUCP). He is Manager of MarcaPeru Lab
from PromPeru, which is the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and
Tourism. His function is to encourage the development of 21st Century Skills
and strategies for co-creation, through the use of Exploration and Fabrication
Technologies and STEAM methodology between coworkers. He also plans innovative
solutions to promote Peru in brand new fields based on the raise of new
Information and Communication Technologies and Digital Fabrication Techniques.
He is also consultant of Ministry of Education for building upcoming
Makerspaces in high schools from rural areas of Peru to learn about
entrepreneurship and creativity. He is a FabLearn Fellow from Stanford
University and Co-Founder of FabLab in Peru. He was winner of MIT Technology
Review, Innovators Under 35 years old in Peru in 2013. He is a strong believer
that in order to innovate in production, services and experiences, the first
aspect is the positive transformation of mindset in citizens with a high
priority in empathy, imagination and team work without judgment and fear of
making mistakes. He also likes to take risks to acquire more inputs for future
development projects.
