MSCI Internship – Index Sales Support

【Location】: Shanghai.

The Sales Support Intern will work with Client Coverage and assist with market analysis, prospect  research and data analysis.

⚫ Pre-sales activities and process management

⚫Market analysis, competitor research, prospect research

⚫ Qualifying prospects

⚫ Set-up and participate in prospective client and current client discussions

⚫ Manage the pipeline opportunity, follow-up and generate contracts

⚫ New product placement support

⚫Answer detailed client inquiries about MSCI products and methodologies

⚫ Provide sample data or analysis to assist a client with any due diligence

⚫ Campaign tracking, analysis and reporting of key metrics

⚫ Regular communication and coordination of projects with colleagues covering the Asset Owner, Investment  Consultant and Asset Manager teams.

⚫ Strong interest in Finance

⚫ Ability to effectively work with diverse cultures in a global team; sensitivity and appreciation for diverse cultural  norms/styles

⚫ Highly motivated, dynamic, hardworking and eager to succeed

⚫ Individuals should be dynamic, motivated and able to perform

⚫ Independent work as well as work in partnership with business people in various financial disciplines

⚫ Demonstrated understanding of modern portfolio theory

⚫ Attention to detail is critical

⚫ Excellent academic tracking record

⚫Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin

⚫ Microsoft Office skills

⚫ Must be a P.R. China passport holder

⚫ Expected to graduate after 2020

⚫ Currently in a Master/PhD program (Finance, Economics or Statistics) from a top University in Shanghai

⚫ Work in Shanghai office 5 days per week for 9 months

⚫ CFA is a plus
