大多数时候,我们阅读小说,是为了获得一种体验,好的小说有时弥补我们生活的缺憾,更多时候,是让我们看见我们自己,而好的小说家总是擅于发现这些生活的不同层面。

Penguin Random House 最近推出了一套 Vintage Mini 系列丛书,编辑们罗列了 20 个关键词,涵盖我们每个人普通一生中总会经历的那些事情:欲望,爱情,家庭,事业,酒精等等,同时挑选 20 位优秀小说家的作品,以 20 个关键词为名,从他们的作品中精选出几个故事,制作了一套“简书”。

入选的作家中有普鲁斯特、村上春树、托尼·莫里森、珍妮特·温特森、弗吉尼亚·伍尔夫、萨尔曼·鲁西迪、赫胥黎、朱利安·巴恩斯等。
