Ann M. Blair 是哈佛大學Carl H. Pforzheimer UniversityProfessor 校級講座教授。哈佛大學校級講座教授是該校最高等級的榮譽頭銜。目前哈佛大學只設有24名校級講座教授，Blair 教授是僅有的6 名女性校級講座教授之一。

Blair教授研究領域為近代早期歐洲的思想文化史、書籍與閱讀史，以及宗教與科學的互動關係。重要專著有The Theater of Nature: Jean Bodin and Renaissance Science (Princeton, NJ: Princeton University Press, 1997)、Too Much To Know: Managing Scholarly Information before the Modern Age (New Haven: Yale University Press, 2010)，其中後者被翻譯為中文、日文與法文。Blair 教授的重要學術貢獻是拓展思想文化史的研究領域，討論知識的形成與傳遞，以及不同時代的人們如何儲存、整理與使用資訊。她的研究讓思想文化史更立體化，不只是研究傳遞知識的書籍文本與書籍的物質構成，更將這些討論提升到資訊處理與思考、研究方式的轉變。
