While the One-Health concept is assuming significance worldwide, there is an increasing attention in studying the environmental pollutants, endocrine disruptors & metabolic disruption. Air pollution represents one of the world’s largest health and environmental problems. Despite the fact that air pollution is a universal issue, its environmental health burden would be highly heterogenous in different ethnic and geographical populations who are exposed to high PM2·5 concentrations. Patients with non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and those live in the low-resource settings are most at risk from air pollution. There is an imperative need for research to strengthen the evidence on air-pollution and disease risk as well as evolution so as to alert the governments to act appropriately. In the recent years, there is also an increasing attention on endocrine disruptors (ED) as they affect wildlife, humans as well as environment. Apart from the classical ED effects on reproductive physiology and fertility endpoints, they are now shown to mediate long-lasting effects on endogenous metabolism linked to several metabolic disorders. The disrupting potential of air pollution as well as EDs on wildlife, humans and environment makes them ideal and challenging topics in the field of One-Health research – and this forms the premise for our efforts to bring a special issue. The overarching goal of this special issue is to promote a multi-disciplinary perspective on environmental pollutants, EDs and metabolic disruption through a wide range of studies that will broaden our knowledge on the field of Environmental Health. To achieve this goal, we welcome high-quality submissions (original research as well as reviews) from scientists/young scholars whose primary research fields fits into the theme of this special issue.

Topics of interest for the special issue include, but are not restricted to studies on:

· Exposome Research

·Measures of endocrine disruptors / Air pollution by sensitive analytical tools

· EDs /Air pollution effects in preclinical animal models with disease-biology focus - NCDs

· Systemic and tissue-specific levels of EDs

·EDs role in microbiome alterations as well as trans-generational effects

·ED effects and mechanisms of action

·EDs Research – Mother-Offspring perspective

·Role of Dietary EDs

·Regulatory aspects on Air Pollution/EDs

·Air pollution sources, concentration, exposure and health effects scenarios

·Air pollution and epidemiology – Data on PM2.5

· Air pollution / EDs – Omics studies

The identification of daily-life self-regulatory challenges and (potential) impairment encountered by esport players (e.g., personal hygiene, screen time, physical activity, sleep, diet, substance use, esports betting).

Person-centered analytic approach (e.g., using network and cluster analyses, complementary profile analyses; evaluation of comorbid disorders) to the study of esports involvement and motivation to play.

Theadaptive and maladaptiveimpact of interindividual (e.g., parent-child relationship) and environmental (e.g., affordance) factors on esports involvement.

New measurements (e.g., self-report scale, experimental task) that provide qualitative and quantitative understandings of the (mal)adaptive involvement into esports.

The exploration of neuropsychological or neurocognitive processes involved in the etiology and maintenance of (mal)adaptive involvement into esports.

Innovative educational and intervention programs for improving/optimizing mental and physical health in esport players.
