Beijing Cyberspace Administration Announced Implementation Status of Data Export Security Assessment and Standard Contracts Mechanisms
在北京，已有117家单位提交数据出境安全评估申报材料，其中45家已被国家网信办受理，39家获批通过安全评估。
Up to now in Beijing, 117 entities have applied for the data export security assessment, of which the Cyberspace Administration of China has accepted 45, and 39 have passed the assessment.

MOC Explores Establishing a Cross-Border Data Transfer Governance System Based on Free Flow Principle
2024年1月18日，商务部党组书记、部长王文涛针对发展数字贸易的相关问题答记者问，表示要积极参与全球数字贸易治理，立足自身制度框架，对接国际高标准经贸规则，探索建立以自由流动为基本原则、统筹安全和个人信息保护的数据跨境流动治理体系。
On January 18, 2024, Wang Wentao, the Party Group Secretary and Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, responded to journalists’ questions regarding the development of digital trade. He stated the intention to actively participate in global digital trade governance, based on its own institutional framework and aligning with international high-standard economic and trade rules. The aim is to explore the establishment of a cross-border data flow governance system that is based on the principle of free flow, while balancing security and personal information protection.
抖音非法爬取、移植新浪微博内容被法院判赔2000万元
TikTok Ordered to Pay CNY 20 Million for Illegally Crawling and Repurposing Sina Weibo Content by Court
近日，北京知产法院就上诉人北京抖音信息服务有限公司与被上诉人北京微梦创科网络技术有限公司不正当竞争纠纷案作出判决，驳回上诉，维持一审判决。即抖音公司实施的被诉行为已构成不正当竞争，应当赔偿微梦公司经济损失2000万元及合理开支1156700元。
Recently, the Beijing Intellectual Property Court rendered a judgment on the appeal case involving appellant Beijing Douyin Information Services Co., Ltd. (“Douyin”) and appellee Beijing Weimeng Chuangke Network Technology Co., Ltd. (“Weimeng”) regarding unfair competition disputes. The court rejected the appeal and upheld the original judgment. It ruled that the actions carried out by Douyin constituted unfair competition, and accordingly, it was ordered to compensate Weimeng for economic losses of RMB 20 million and reasonable expenses of RMB 1,156,700.
