Circles of Life

Many years ago, in the forest, at the riverside and across high mountains and vast plains, humans and other animals lived and grew together, running and playing around as companions.

Sometimes we ate animals, and sometimes we got eaten by them, yet both were free.

Then, people invented tools and weapons and ruled the earth ever since.

我们想减轻自己劳动的负担,就让牛帮我们耕地,让马帮我们驼东西,让狗帮我们看门;

To reduce heavy workload, we raised the cattle to help us plow, tamed horses for transportation, and trained dogs into gatekeepers;

Once we were able to eat delicious eggs and drink fresh milk every day, we began to crave the bile of the bear, the horn of the deer and the fur of the fox ...

we just want too much, and our appetite is insatiable.

We catch these animals, keep them in leash, feed them, and also feel free to arrange their death for our own sake.

We are too arrogant to look inside the animal minds: Do they have any emotions? Can they perceive pain?

There was a pregnant ewe to be slaughtered in the knacker's yard.

Under the butcher's knife, she knelt down with her front feet on the ground, bones exposed, dripping with blood and tears.

Touched by the scene, the butcher put her aside for a while, and several lambs were delivered.

As a mother she shed tears for the looming reaper and begged for mercy for her children. Is there any difference from what our mothers do?

人类自以为是地认为,这些海龟、鱼虾、泥鳅,这些鸟和蝴蝶,这些猪马牛羊,这些蚊蝇昆虫没有感觉、没有疼痛、没有抱怨;

Human beings take it for granted that aquatics, livestocks, birds and insects would neither pain nor complain;

As a result, we cruelly cut out their belly as easy as chopping a cucumber.

But when you seize them, you can spot their struggle, fear and plea at first sight, and who can distinguish such expressions from ours when faced with pain and death?

As human beings we many take another perspective: suppose if you get arrested, caged, cut into pieces and roasted on the fire, what do you feel at the moment?

Will you cry out of pain? Will it be a heartbreak losing your family? Will you be occupied with hatred due to the unexpected fatal destiny?

At that time, will you pray for a mighty power to save you out and help you escape from death and regain freedom?

Many animals are born in the farm, but this is not their home. Their birth and growth only leads to slavery or slaughter.

它们的尸体,躺在每个菜市场里。它们不会说我们的语言,它们无力反抗,它们无处可逃,可它们的眼泪和我们的眼泪是一样的;

Their bodies will be lying in the market. They cannot speak our language, they are unable to resist, and they have nowhere to escape. Yet their tears and ours are the same;

Similar to us, they long for freedom, look forward to reunion, and dream of staying away from sorrow and death.

They do not present a threat or damage, and they have a sole mission to live on.

Scientists have countless proven experimental data defining human as hominidae in the family of primates, where we share 99% of our DNA with chimpanzees.

Dating back to some million years ago, we had a common ancestor.

Being both human and animal, we have no ground to hurt other animals.

It is undeniable that we are stronger than many,Since we have the power to change nature based on our unparalleled intelligence.

What can we do for them?

When I put a small fish back into the water, it jumped out of the surface as if it was dancing and grateful to me for giving it another chance of living. I was also very happy hearing her words.

I think if each of us can save even only one life, there must be many more happy lives celebrating their rebirth.

If we make even only a single living creature less suffering, our efforts will prove meaningful and never end in vain.

Our planet is a big home, and each family member is indispensable.

Remember that the extinction of an y species will cause damage to the earth.

Remember that all the consequences of ecological destruction, which we’ll definitely be held accountable, will eventually be borne by ourselves.

"

All the people are my brothers while all the creatures are my friends." As described in the ancient poem, all human beings are siblings and we find everything our counterpart.

The sun rises every day, and we live with other lives on the earth bathing in the sunlight, breathing and growing together, with our lives connected to each other now and ever.

我们希望活下去,活到寿终正寝,它们也是;

We want to live and die a natural death, so do they;

我们希望在痛苦无助的时候,有人可以保护和拯救我们,它们也是;

We hope that someone can save us and protect us from pain and helplessness, so do they;

We expect to live freely: no harm,  so do they;

所以,如果你遇到受伤的它们,请帮帮忙,给它们所需的呵护和治疗;

Therefore,if you find them injured, please help them, giving the necessary care and treatment;

如果你遇到在牢笼中、在屠刀下的它们,请帮帮忙,解救并还它们以自由,能活到命终自然死亡的痛苦会远远小于被生生屠宰的痛苦;
