Postdoc in Cognitive Psychology/Cognitive Neuroscience
A Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship is available for up to 3 years. The appointee is expected to spend half time
in the laboratory of Prof. Zhicheng Lin at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), Shenzhen, China,
and the other half at a collaborating lab overseas. We will identify the collaborating lab together. The Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship covers the full cost of the overseas stay, including the salary and medical insurance.
Our lab studies cognitive and neural processes underlying human behaviors, with primary efforts aiming toward two domains:
1) Cognition:
What are the basic characteristics of cognition (e.g., attention, consciousness, rewards) and how does it drive behaviors? How does cognition change across lifespan and how it manifests in different populations? What is the neural basis of cognition?
2) Science and policy:
How to achieve personal improvements and establish better social policies based on scientific evidence? How might we better disseminate such knowledge? How to go from knowledge to actions?

Salary and Work Environment
Salary will be competitive,
RMB 300K after-tax
or above per year (depending on qualifications). For half of the contract years, the appointee will be based in Shenzhen, a vibrant city right above Hong Kong. The campus is beautifully modern and artful, located in a natural park setting with a lovely lake and green hills. Teaching is in English, with Cisco VPN available.
