At Beijing's Tabula Rasa gallery, inside 798, I've seen the marvelous works of several practitioners of Beuys' belief in China.

Li Qing, 40, a Beijing native, graduated from the electric engineering department at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

He quit job in 2009 and became a professional artist. His paintings have been exhibited a lot.

Wang Hua, 36, dropped out of school and lived on doing odd jobs. In 2012, she began working at the canteen of Central Academy of Fine Arts. In her spare time, she paints such elaborated works as follows:
36岁的汪化早年辍学，以打零工为生。2012年她进入中央美术学院的食堂工作。她利用业余时间画画，画风如此精细复杂。
Students saw her paintings by accident, and showed them to professors who introduced her to galleries and a wider population of audience.

Guo Xiurong, 68, was born in rural Shandong and only finished the first grade of primary school. She started painting on xuan paper three years ago.
