修改和反馈是英文写作当中一个很重要的环节，除了人工修改之外，我们也可以尝试使用一些自动化的语法检查以及批改服务，尽可能多地发现作文中存在的语言问题。

最近我发现网站结合了人工智能技术，对已有的批改功能进行了升级。现在它推出了一个很实用的功能：
文体风格转换
。
很多同学写作文容易有一个问题：文体意识不强。举个例子，一些同学在写作中喜欢用一些看起来比较“口语化”的表达，比如我在一篇学生雅思写作里面看到了一个句子：The findings were
kind of
significant.
作者想要kind of表达somewhat的意思。如果放在日常口语中，单词这样用是得体的，但在考场写作中这样用就不太合适。
而deepL的文体风格转换功能就能帮助我们用词更加得体。它提供了四种风格选项：简单、商业、学术、非正式。
其中“简单”和“非正式”适合口语场合，而“商业”和“学术”适合正式写作场合，如果是考场写作，那么我们可以选用“学术”风格。
举个例子，这是一段比较口语化的内容：
Wow, that concert last night was insane! The lead singer's voice was incredible, and the light show was totally mind-blowing. Everyone was jumping and singing along – the energy was electric.
将这段话放进网站里面，选用“学术”风格，可以转化为这样的句子：
The concert that took place last night was a remarkable event. The lead singer's vocal performance was outstanding, and the lighting design added a spectacular visual element to the performance. The audience's enthusiasm was palpable, and the atmosphere was electric.
可以看到，改写后的句子非常正式，这样的句子放在各类考场写作中就比较合适。
它也可以反过来用简单的单词来改写复杂句子。比如新概念四第21课有这样一个长难句：
It was Hart who created the basic formula of the Western film, and devised the protagonist he played in every film he made, the good-had man, the accidental-noble outlaw, or the honest-but-framed cowboy, or the sheriff made suspect by vicious gossip; in short, the individual in conflict with himself and his frontier environment.
在网站上选用“简单”风格，可以得到这样的句子：
Hart created the basic formula of the Western film. He also invented the main character he played in every film he made. This character was the good-natured man, the accidental noble outlaw, the honest but framed cowboy, or the sheriff who was made suspect by vicious gossip. In short, this character was the individual in conflict with himself and his frontier environment.
改写后的句子明显简单多了。
之前经常有老外评价中国学生口语“文绉绉的，像莎士比亚”，本质上就是口语里面用了太多正式单词以及复杂句式。通过DeepL网站的这一功能，我们可以学习如何让口语内容更加自然。
这个网站也可以修改词汇以及语法使用上的问题，比如：Many people believe that
citizen
should be responsible for their own health.
系统会识别出来名词单复数问题，并提示将句子改为：Many people believe that citizens should be responsible for their own health.
