Eight-year-old writes 'the funniest leave request'

A note written by a boy to his father's boss has gone viral on Chinese social media recently.

The 8-year-old in Beijing was so desperate to go on vacation with his parents during the summer holidays, while his dad was too busy to accompany with him. So the boy penned a note to his dad's boss to request him a leave. Without knowing how to write some characters, the boy used pinyin instead.

The note read: "To dad's boss, my friend Xiao Ming travels with his parents during the summer vacation. I also want to do it but my dad always says he's busy with work. Can you give him a few days off? Xiao Ming said that only fool people don't travel in the summer time."

The father who works in IT industry said that his son handed him the note on July 25 before he headed to work. "My son asked me to give it to my boss," he added, "After reading it, I felt a little guilty."

"I didn't keep my promise to hand out with my boy," the father said, "so he must losing his patience and got this idea."

The father decided to take a few days off to travel with his son and spend more time with him in the future.
