A postdoctoral position is available in Hongbo Pang lab, Department of Pharmaceutics, University of Minnesota (Twin-Cities campus). The successful candidate will employ molecular biology, cell biology mouse models and in vivo imaging to study cargo transport processes into solid tumors, and develop peptide-guided therapies for cancer and other human diseases (Pang et al, 2014, Nat Commun; Pang et al, 2015, Science Advances).
The desired applicant should have a Ph.D. degree in biology and biomedical research fields, preferably in the disciplines of molecular biology, cell biology and cancer biology. Individuals with a strong background in either immunology or neuroscience are highly encouraged to apply. Experience in endocytosis/exocytosis, macrophages, primary neuron isolation and culture is a plus. The candidate should also have outstanding interpersonal, organizational, communication and writing skills.
