In a significant move to bolster international collaboration and express gratitude to foreign entities for their long-term support, the 2025 Kun Peng · Spring Gathering —Economic and Trade Seminar for Foreign Institutions in China with Shenzhen @Tencent Inno-Tech Event was held at the Shenzhen Museum of Contemporary Art and Urban Planning on the afternoon of Feb. 21.
The event was jointly hosted by CCPIT Shenzhen and the Shenzhen Municipal Culture, Media, Tourism and Sports Bureau, and supported by the Shenzhen International Chamber of Commerce.

参加2025深圳鲲鹏会·春华——外国驻华机构新春经贸交流会暨“企鹅‘圳’在展”科技创新主题活动的嘉宾在深圳市当代艺术与城市规划馆合影留念。
It was a truly global gathering with the consuls general of the consulates general of the United Republic of Tanzania, the Republic of Uganda, Malaysia, the Hellenic Republic (Greece), the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Republic of Colombia, the Republic of Singapore, and other countries in Guangzhou, as well as representatives from China-based foreign chambers of commerce and institutions.

Lin Xiuhong, first-level researcher of the Shenzhen Investment Promotion Bureau, highlighted Shenzhen’s commitment to creating a conducive investment climate and outlined policies favorable toforeign investment and trade at the event.

Yang Haobo, second-level inspector of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shenzhen Municipal Committee (CCPIT Shenzhen), presented the committee’s trade promotion achievements in 2024 and introduced the Kun Peng · Spring/Autumn Gathering initiative.

This initiative aims to establish a regular liaison mechanism with foreign institutions in China, organizing two major economic and trade exchange activities each year.
在与各驻华机构建立常态化工作机制的框架下，市贸促会每年将举办春、秋两场固定经贸交流活动：春季聚焦答谢交流与年度规划，秋季侧重建言资政与成果总结。
“As one of the world’s most dynamic and innovative cities, Shenzhen plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of technology, trade, and investment,” said Aniel Kerkvliet, chief representative of the Netherlands Business Support Office Shenzhen.
“深圳是世界上最充满活力和创新力的城市之一，在塑造科技、贸易和投资的未来方面发挥着至关重要的作用。”荷兰贸促会深圳代表处首席代表艾纽（Aniel Kerkvliet）表示。
Kerkvliet expressed hope for enhanced bilateral cooperation between the Netherlands and Shenzhen in technology, energy storage, and design.
艾纽希望未来荷兰能在科技、能源存储和设计等领域与深圳加强双向经贸合作。
“It was an insightful event focusing on the trade goals of Shenzhen in 2025. I really liked the data and the goals of the CCPIT Shenzhen,” said Renato Horvath, commercial consul of the Consulate General of Hungary in Guangzhou. He added that having direct contacts to the CCPIT Shenzhen and having regular meetings and exchange will boost Shenzhen’s international trade.

“I believe this kind of platform is very important and beneficial for fostering relationships and enhancing the economy,” said Vinicio Eminenti, vice president of China-Italy Chamber of Commerce for South China.

Other representatives showed keen interest in deepening cooperation with Shenzhen in areas like new materials, biotechnology, medicine, electronic information, microelectronics, and artificial intelligence. The innovative liaison mechanism proposed by the CCPIT Shenzhen was hailed as a step in the right direction for bolstering economic and trade relations.
其他参会代表表示，深圳科技研发投入大、产业创新能力强，其开放政策与高效服务为外资企业提供了广阔舞台，期待在新材料、生物科技、医药、电子信息、微电子、人工智能等领域与深圳深化合作。深圳市贸促会提出的常态化联络工作机制为加强双边经贸交流提供了有利支持。
The event wasn’t all business, as guests enjoyed exhibitions including the Shenzhen Urban Planning Exhibition, the Penguin Island — Exhibition of Tencent, and a Guan Gong-themed exhibition at the Shenzhen Museum of Contemporary Art and Urban Planning. These immersive experiences provided insights into Shenzhen’s development and the fusion of technology and culture.
活动当天，与会嘉宾共同参观了“深圳城市规划展”“企鹅移动岛特展”及“义薄云天——关公主题文化特展”等展览，通过沉浸式展陈与互动体验，深入了解了深圳的蜕变历程，感受科技与人文交融的城市魅力。
A special area was dedicated to showcasing traditional Chinese culture through calligraphy and painting, with local artists creating themed works for guests.
展览现场还设置了传统文化体验区，深圳书画艺术家们在现场为中外嘉宾现场进行主题书画作品创作，向各位嘉宾展示中国传统文化的魅力。
