深入解读

Facet 一词比较好记，就比熟词 face 后面多一个字母 t 。并且从词源上来看， facet 与 face 都源自于古法语 face （脸、面）。

其中， facet 最早于17世纪20年代由古法语 face 的指小词 facette 进入英语，用来表示多面体的“面”，特别是切割过的宝石的多个小的“琢面、饰面、切面”，也可以指自然力在卵石等上磨成的面。

从这个概念出发，等到了1820年后， facet 开始引申指问题、形势、性格等的某一特定的“方面、部分、特点”，常意味着还有众多与被单独挑出引起注意的方面相类似的其他方面。比如：
