some people say that it is important for parents to read and tell stories to their children, while others argue that with other sources of stories such as books, TV and movies,parents do not need to read stories. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

with easy access to books,tv and films, children have more choices of stories. although these media are popular nowadays, i believe that stories telling by parents are indispensable （stories told by parents are indispensable in a child’s early development）.
By telling stories,parents can show their love and care to their children,which is beneficial to children's mental health. even seemingly simple things like telling a story can make children feel the love and gain a sense of security. In addition, sometimes parents can tell stories about themselves. This practice can enhance mutual–understanding between parents and children and make children feel more connected with their parents. In contract, those chilren who watching tv and read books alone at home might be exposed to neglect, which may lead to loneliness and depression.
应该是watch TV, 而不是watching， exposed to neglect太夸张
Children can learn how to communicate with others and develop imgination by listening to stories ,rather than only gain knowledge. For example, when telling stories, parents might use different tunes, make eye contact and use body language in order to make the stories more attractive and vivid. Children tend to copy their parents' behaviour, thus gaining communicative skills at an early age. Moreover, listening to stories allows children to imagine the scene and the appearance of the hero by themselves, which can foster their creativity and imagination.

On the other hand, there is a wide range of stories in books,tv and movies, which allows cbildren to choose the story accordibg to their favour. This will help parents save time for work, housework and other personal or family affairs. children who are allowed to read books and watch tv alone might develop independent learning skills and ability to make decision on their own.
In conclusion,although sources like books,tv and movies have some advantages, parents should read stories for their kids because their participation in children's growth is irreplacable and important.
