Generative Artificial Intelligence-enhanced Adaptive/Personalized Learning


Submission deadline: 30 June 2025


This special issue aims to explore innovative applications of GenAI in adaptive learning, pedagogical theories, instructional strategies, and assessment models. It will provide a platform for discussing the challenges and opportunities of AI-driven education and highlight best practices for integrating GenAI into various educational contexts.

Gwo-Jen Hwang , Professor, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taiwan

Dr. Gwo-Jen Hwang is a chair professor at the Graduate Institute of Educational Information and Measurement, National Taichung University of Education, and a chair professor at the Graduate Institute of Digital Learning and Education, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taiwan. His research interests include mobile learning, digital game-based learning, flipped classrooms, and artificial intelligence in education.

Ramazan Yilmaz , Professor, Bartin University, Turkey

Prof. Dr. Ramazan Yilmaz is a Chair Professor at Bartin University, Turkey. His research focuses on artificial intelligence, virtual reality, human-computer interaction, and cyberpsychology. He has published extensively on AI applications in education and serves as an editor for several international journals.

Jiun-Yu Wu, Professor, Southern Methodist University, USA

Prof. Jiun-Yu Wu is a Professor at Southern Methodist University, USA. His research interests include artificial intelligence in education, learning analytics, personal learning environments, digital distraction, and multilevel structural equation modeling. He has contributed to major academic journals and conferences in these areas.

  • Ethical considerations, biases, and challenges in AI-driven education

  • Teachers’ and learners’ perceptions of AI-based adaptive learning tools
