英文早点 | 0904_正确对待跨性别者和同性恋者

跨性别通常是指一个人在心理上无法认同自己与生俱来的生理性别，相信自己应该属于另一种性别，医学界也经常使用性别焦虑、性别认同障碍或性别认知障碍来解释跨性别者。   同性恋是性取向之一，是指只对同性产生爱情和性欲的人，具有这种性取向的个体被称之为同性恋者。在人类以外的其他动物中，也普遍存在同性性行为，但这与基于高级情感的人类同性恋不可同日而语，这也是人类多元化发展的一种具体表现。

There’s no question that trans people should have all human rights; however, when it comes to benefits, giving trans women some of the benefits afforded to females - for instance, access to sex-segregated spaces and resources - does seem to remove some benefits and even rights from females.

People get hung up on the fact that sexual orientations aren’t chosen, and this is true; but then again, none of our feelings are chosen, and hardly any of them are fundamental parts of us.
