Take night trains in Europe.
To save overnight stay costs. For instance, In Portugal and Italy (and maybesome more countries which I don't know of), trains provide free bottled waterfor long distance legs, but *only if you ask for it*.

Use carsharing and freeride platforms.
Have free vouchers in the area and exchange them with locals if you don't want to redeem them (For example,I got a 20% off voucher for a female clothing storeone - got there, and exchanged it with a costumer for a meal at a nicerestaurant [she gave me 10 bucks for it]. You've gotta be the positive of supershy to do this tho). Have apps installed on your mobile for all of this.

Book everything early.
Make sure you book everything early AND free ofcancellation costs. I usually book 3 or 4 hotels with free cancellation costs, and choose which one I go to on the stop (I typically choose the one whosetravel to is the cheapest). Most times, you can't predict this upfront.
