【Focus】Spring Flower Exhibition Opens Soon

Spring has yet to come. Where is spring?

You can find spring in the flowering shrubs in Pujiang Suburban Park.

Once again, a spring flower exhibition will open in Pujiang Suburban Park at the beginning of spring.

The spring flower exhibition this year, “Miracle Garden Spring Carnival”, will open on March 15. Theme of the flower exhibition will be “Looking for Exotic Animals.” The exhibition will last for nearly 3 months and will close on June 9. 

Apart from long duration, the flower exhibition this year features large area of flowers. The 430,000-square-meter exhibition area is divided into 7 gardens of rarely-seen flowers, 4 gardens of love, 4 gardens featuring various flower species, a three-dimensional miracle flower blanket covering 10,000 square meters, a 15,000-square-meter exhibition area of high-quality flowers, a 1,500-square-meter exhibition area of weeping flowers and a 60,000-square-meter exhibition area featuring a forest and sea of flowers.

Other events, such as the exhibition featuring exotic animals, exhibition featuring INS-style themed installations, exhibition of interesting flowers and insects, contests for parents, kids and team building and magic shows will also open in the Miracle Garden, bringing more diversified sightseeing experiences to tourists.

Pujiang Suburban Park is one of the 7 pilot suburban parks in Shanghai. It has 5 sightseeing areas in total, and the flower exhibition in Miracle Garden is only a small part of the park. In addition to the Miracle Garden, the park has other 4 sightseeing areas opened to the public: the Dynamic Forest, the countryside scene area, the forest and recreation area and the riverfront area. These 4 areas also feature diversified sightseeing and recreational facilities.

What are the most interesting scenic spots in the park? Which restaurant offers delicious food? Are there customized sightseeing routes that suit the needs of different tourists? In the tourist information center, tourists can see the pedestrian flow in various areas in the park on a large electronic screen. They can take a seat in the center, have a cup of water and take a rest for a while. They can also buy souvenirs with local features, such as souvenirs from Shaojialou Watertown. Tourists can borrow charge pals, umbrellas and wheelchairs from the tourist information center. The center also offers baggage deposit service and frequently-used medicine to tourists. These services are free of charge.
