Guardians of the galaxy vol.2

It HAS been one of my most anticipated movies of 2017, and I finally got to see it this morning. Now I’m gonna talk a little bit about how I felt about the film, and there will be no spoilers I promise.

Just like in the first movie, our hero, star lord, and the rest of the guardians of the galaxy team up once again, and go on little missions here and there and fight space crimes together.

I remember watching the first one in 2014 when I was in New York. At that time nobody knew anything about guardians of the galaxy. But everyone ended up liking the characters, and that I think is what makes this series very successful, not the plot, but the characters.

When we go see a sequel(续集), we usually expect bigger actions, bigger explosions, two-times the special effects and more. And that’s usually the case for most movie franchises(系列).

But Guardians of the Galaxy 2 took a different approach. It’s NOT bigger in terms of the action scenes or the CGI. It’s bigger in the character development. This movie really focuses more on the history and origin of those characters and explained who they are and why they are doing what they are doing.
