APA格式是由美国心理协会
(American Psychological Association)
发展出的一套论文撰写格式，是社会科学期刊最常见的指定格式，在其他领域也广泛使用。今天来简单讲解APA需要注意的地方。
内文使用Times New Roman，开头要缩排
(1.5 英寸，就是2个字符)
，要注意文本必须设为左对齐
（不能两端对齐）
，主标题
（引言，文献综述等）
为中间对齐并加粗
（一般主标题是没有编号的，但有些期刊会要求加上编号）。
1. APA采用作者日期（年份）的格式
，
例如：Smith (1992) reported that.../ PBL has been found to increase student motivation (Oliver & Hannafin, 2001).
* 使用and还是&? 2个作者以上的文献时，可以用and来连接（有括号或没有括号的情况下皆可使用），但&只能在有括号的情况下使用，描述时不得使用，例如
正确：
All learning phenomena resulting from direct experience can occur vicariously by observing people's behavior (Rosenthal & Zimmerman, 1978).
错误：
Rosenthal & Zimmerman (1978) indicated that all learning phenomena…
2. 什么时候要用et al.？
首先，如果是1个作者或2个作者的文献，作者必须通篇完整列出。如果是3个作者（含）以上，可以分为两种情况说明。
1) 第一次引用：
3个到5个作者，必须全部列出来。例如：Wykes, Huddy, Cellard, McGurk, and Czobor (2014)。6个（含）作者以上，则使用et al. 例如：Porras， Hargis， Patterson，Maxfield，Roberts和Bies在1982年撰写的文章于本文引用(in-text)须写成Porras et al. (1982)
2) 后续引用：
只要是3个作者（含）以上，一律使用et al. 例：Wykes et al. (2014)/ Porras et al. (1982)
3. Reference list用姓氏开头，名字只取第一个字母
（作者有中间名则为2个字母:名字首字母,中间名首字母），例：Walker, M. (2001). Engineering identities. British Journal of Sociology of Education, 22, 75-89.
* APA对于reference list有诸多要求，建议查找文献时完整记录信息（作者，年份，期刊卷期/书商出版地等），以节省时间
1. 列举项目时，APA规定用小写字母来列举
，即 (a), (b), (c), (d)，像是We assessed (a) verbal short-term memory and (b) verbal working memory of…此规定与其它格式的数字列举编号（1,2,3,4）不一样。
2. 写数字的时候，小于10 （含）必须完整拼出来，大于10必须写成阿拉伯数字，
例如：Ten participants said they…/ A total of 344 participants were recruited.
*例外：在摘要里面，所有数字都是阿拉伯数字
3. 表达统计数值时，小数点前没有0，
即 p < .05 而不是 p < 0.05
所有的APA格式规定在官方出版的格式手册（第六版）Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, Sixth Edition里有详尽说明。
