O PROJECT ARCHITECT
Reports to:
Project Manager
Tactical Thrust:
• Lead project technical implementation
Responsibilities Owned:
• Handle technical and production aspects of projects
• Implement project delivery
• Guide design team through the construction documentation process
• Check for code compliance, coordinate with consultants/contractors and develop construction details
• Understand design intent and goals for successful implementation
• Coordinate the production of project specifications
• Assist in the design control/construction administration phase of the projects
• Maintain firm-wide documentation procedures and standards
• Support project management in staffing, fee estimating, and scheduling
Expectation：
• Assists Project Manager with proposals/budget development
• Assists Project Manager with project status updates
• Provides technical guidance to project staff
• Assists in performance review feedback for project staff
• Maintains as backup to the Project Manager, direct contact with clients
• Possesses full knowledge of best practice standards and expectations
Performance Metrics:
• Proposal success rate increases
• Project deadlines are met, budgets are maintained
• Responsibilities and deadlines are communicated
• Leadership, profitability, and excellence metrics are met
• Client surveys illustrate favorable relationships
• Documents are executed with firm-wide consistency
O PROJECT DESIGNER
Reports to:
Principal in Charge(PIC) and PM for project performance and Design Principal for project design
Tactical Thrust:
Lead project design implementation
Responsibilities Owned:
• Generate and manage development of architectural design and project drawings
• Perform leadership role on major projects
• Participate in BWP development (quality of work performed, client service, staff utilization)
• Develop design intent and goals for successful implementation
• Guide and manage project design team and activities, including consultants (co-owned with Design Principal)
• Keep a phase of a project on schedule
• Interface/coordinate interior design, site planning, and engineering to develop and execute architectural design concepts
• Support marketing and business development activities
Expectation:
• Works with PIC on proposals/budget development
• Mentors design staff
• Provides design guidance to project staff
• Completes performance reviews for design project staff
• Is responsible for design budget and schedule
• Maintains and nurtures direct contact with clients
Performance Metrics:
• Proposal success rate increases
• Responsibilities and deadlines are clearly communicated
• Leadership, profitability, and excellence metrics are met
• Better performance is achieved due to continuous tracking
• Client surveys illustrate favorable relationships
O PROJECT MANAGER
Reports to:
Principal in Charge (PIC)
Tactical Thrust:
Lead project implementation
Responsibilities Owned:
• Profitability of projects
• Implementation of project delivery
• Project plan
• BWP (quality of work performed, client service, staff utilization)
• Understanding of design intent and goals for successful implementation
• Guidance and management of project team and activities, including consultants (co-owned with Design Principal)
Expectation:
• Assists PIC with proposals/budget development
• Assists PIC with progress updates
• Guides project staff
• Completes performance reviews for project staff
• Maintains and nurtures direct contact with clients
• Possesses full knowledge of contracts and expectations
Performance Metrics:
• Proposal success rate increases
• Project deadlines are met, budgets are maintained
• Responsibilities and deadlines are clearly communicated
• Leadership. Profitability and excellence metrics are met
• Client surveys illustrate favorable relationships
• Contracts are accurately executed
O RETAIL INTERIOR DESIGNER/PROJECT MANAGER
Reports to:
Principal in Charge(PIC) and PM for project performance and Design Principal for project design
Tactical Thrust:
• Lead interior project overall design quality, implementation
Responsibilities Owned:
• Demonstrates effective planning and self-direction in carrying out project responsibilities.
• Contributes to company-wide efforts to control and minimize costs.
• Organizes, develops and coordinates projects through documentation and administration phases.
• Participates in project activities relating to client presentations, programming, space planning, design development, production of construction documents, construction administration sourcing materials, finishes and furniture selections.
• Designs and presents materials/color boards to clients.
• Promotes the spirit of team cooperation among staff.
• Coordinates and completes contract documents.
Expectation:
• Understands the process of interior architectural design in all its phases and can work with the guidance of a Sr. Designer to develop design concepts, produce documents, source materials and support the team in client presentations
• Demonstrates knowledge that extends across company functions
• Evaluates and solves problems
Performance Metrics:
• Provides designs that meet or exceed the clients’ expectations.
• Takes responsibility for prompt and efficient action to meet or exceed the needs of clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Performs project observation for deficiencies in overall development quality and construction methods and materials.
O ARCHITECTURAL INTERN
Reports to:
Project Manager, Project Architect, or Architectural Technician
Tactical Thrust:
Support project implementation
Responsibilities Owned:
• Support the project design process for projects
• Prepare architectural plans and renderings
• Perform architectural assignments and works from designs of others
• Compile data and perform design computations
• Coordinate all aspects of personal project work towards successful completion
Expectation:
Reviews and understands assignment and tasks
Assists PM / PA with project assignments
