2月27日下午，国防部举行例行记者会，国防部新闻局局长、国防部新闻发言人吴谦大校答记者问。

记者： 据报道，美国政府效率部公布的最新解密文件称，美国防部2018年至2022年期间通过国防高级研究计划局向路透社一家子公司支付数百万美元，用于一项名为“大规模社会欺骗”的项目，外界质疑路透社可能长期配合美国防部信息战项目。请问发言人有何评论？

Question: According to the latest declassfied document released by the US Department of Government Efficiency, the US Department of Defense (DOD) paid millions of dollars to a subsidiary of Reuters from 2018 to 2022 through the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency for a prorgam labeled as Large Scale Social Deception. This has aroused suspicion that Reuters might have long cooperated with the Pentagon on programs of information warfare. What’ s your comment on this?

吴谦： 事实上，我们对这个报道并不感到意外。长期以来，美国防部与一些媒体沆瀣一气，编造了太多的谎言，欺骗了包括美国公众在内的太多善良公众。我们希望美方拿出大国的样子，不要再做全世界的“谎言制造者”。

Wu Qian: In fact, relevant reports didn’t surprise us. For a long time, the US DOD has colluded with a few media outlets and made up numerous lies, deceiving many innocent people including the US public. We hope the US side behave in a manner befitting its status as a big power, and stop being the world factory of lies.
