We are currently on the lookout for a talented and dynamic bilingual journalist who is fluent or native in English and has knowledge of Chinese (preferred but not required). This position is open to candidates based in London who are passionate about sharing their knowledge of China and its rich culture with our global audience.

As a part of our team, you will play a pivotal role in researching and reporting on various China-related news stories and events in London. Additionally, you will have the unique opportunity to create and present short videos on topics such as learning Chinese, China travel tips, and insights into Chinese culture. These videos will be shared across our social media platforms including Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, reaching an audience of China enthusiasts. The successful candidate will also be responsible for operating and editing the China Minutes English website. This will involve overseeing the website's daily content, ensuring it is up-to-date, relevant, and engaging for our audience. You will play a crucial role in posting new articles, videos, and updates, maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy. Your keen eye for detail and understanding of digital media will be instrumental in enhancing our online presence and engaging our readership daily.

Fluent or native in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Chinese is highly beneficial but not strictly required.
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or any related field.
Proven experience in journalism, news reporting, or related fields.
A keen interest in and knowledge of Chinese culture, current events, and news.
Ability to present information in videos in a clear, engaging, and professional manner.
Excellent communication, writing, and research skills.
Experience in social media and digital content creation is preferred.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
