书单 | 物质理论：从马克思到算法研究的60本必读书籍

现在研究什么最流行？—— 不是人，而是物！

数字社会也好、平台算法也罢，人工智能也好，都有个共同特点—— “人”的成分越来越少，“物”的成分越来越多 ，无论这些“物”是以比特币、代码、显卡还是虚拟形象等形式呈现。 然而，越强调“物”的重要性，我们就越不了解什么是“物”。

何为物？ 对于这个问题有许多不同的回答取向。我的硕士所在的欧陆哲学研究所，有一位德国老师专门开设过一门现象学的课，题目就是《何为物》！

如果你既想学习像马克思一样的“物化”理论，又想学习当代媒介研究理论，更关注像拉图尔 （Latour） 、新唯物主义等新兴的理论思潮，那么我特别推荐下面这个书单！围绕3大主题，推荐了60本必读著作！

本书单来自台湾阳明交通大学社会与文化研究所硕士班课程大纲。 课程名称为“ 物的理论：从马克思到新物质” （ Thing Theories: from Marxism to New Materialism） ，授课教师为杨子樵助理教授。杨老师毕业于加州大学伯克利分校，专门研究物与批判理论！

课程概述与目标

“物质性” （materiality） 是人文社会领域不断被反复探究、争辩，最根本也最重要的观念之一。 本世纪的前二十年，无论是从商品消费批判、媒介考古、基础设施、技术哲学，还是生态批评，新一波关于“物”的讨论更为文化研究注入了新的想象与可能。

本导论课程选读欧美思想界，自笛卡尔“心物二元论”及康德“物自身” (thing-in-itself) 起始，到晚近被广泛归为“新物质主义”等数支不同历史脉络下，主导对物质性思考的重要流派。

所选之阅读大致可分为三大主题：

（1）商品/历史/唯物： 选读 Marx、Hegel、Feuerbach 等经典篇章开始，铺陈历史唯物批判背后的辩证基础，搭配 Walter Benjamin、Raymond Williams、Fredric Jameson、Jean Baudrillard、David Harvey、David Graeber 等当代文化学者与运动者之论述。

（2）物件/客体/环境： 以“物件导向本体论”与“新物质主义”两支当代思潮回溯，选读 Immanuel Kant、Martin Heidegger、Gilles Deleuze 等哲学家，搭配阅读当代学者 Graham Harman、Jane Bennett、Levi Bryant、Bruno Latour、Timothy Morton、Tim Ingold，探索上述理论家如何透过物件的能动性进行对环境与政治的再思考。

（3）媒介/技术/文化： 透过 Marshall McLuhan、Harold Innis、Friedrich A. Kittler、Gilbert Simondon、Bernard Stiegler、Bernhard Siegert、Bill Brown 等人的视野，探索当代思想家对于媒介技术与基础设施物质性的思考如何重写人本中心视野下的媒介文化、文学研究与艺术展演。

除了上述纯理论性的阅读与讨论外，本课程还安排了课堂观影、博物馆与档案库参访，以及搭配学生参与的“物件分享会”。本课程的阅读材料以英文为主，课堂讨论则采用中英双语进行。
