What You Will Do

You will advise senior individuals at client organizations and existing client service teams on driving transformational change regarding digital manufacturing theory and processes. You will assess client digital manufacturing current situation and develop solutions. You will identify industry, business and digital trends which can be applied for digital manufacturing area, such as mobility, big data, cloud, IoT and etc,. You will develop a detailed solution in digital manufacturing and evangelize the transformation and strategy across the client organization. You will identify and problem-solve major issues to accelerate the evolution of a fully “digital-capable” organization.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree;

• 5+ years management consulting or IT functional strategy experience;

• 3+ years digital manufacturing solution design and deployment experience;

• Broad knowledge of technology and how businesses use technology; strong knowledge for digital technologies, including data analytics, mobility, cloud, and consumerization of enterprise technologies;

• Passionate about internet trends, both enterprise and consumer;

• Fluency in English and Mandarin.

What You Will Do

You will communicate data science features and capabilities to internal and external stakeholders in order to identify business needs and uncover areas in need of deeper data exploration. You will work with our clients and client service teams to help make the connection between our data science capability and real-world tangible impact and insight. You will act as a thought partner with your analytics colleagues in the selection of techniques used for data modeling, as well as establish operating practices to ensure high quality and efficient extraction and transformation of data. 

Qualifications

• MBA or equivalent degree;

• Expertise or demonstrable knowledge in Big Data / Machine Learning / Data Science / IoT;

• Programming experience with R, Python or related platform;

• Proven comfort and an intellectual curiosity for working with very large sets of data;

• Strong communication skills;

• Knowledge of industry trends, development and availability of new technologies and tools;

• Fluency in English and Mandarin.

McKinsey’s Manufacturing Service Line is committed to helping clients align manufacturing strategy to overall business strategy and design and execute manufacturing transformations. Our services in lean transformation are becoming an increasingly necessary requirement for clients in manufacturing sectors as well as non-traditional Lean areas such as process (energy, basic materials) and service (banking, retailing, airlines) industries. You’ll work with colleagues and clients to build best practices of lean transformation, from shop floor improvements to fundamental changes in work processes, information and material flows.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering (ideal), advanced degree preferred;

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in a high-performance manufacturing environment;

• Solid knowledge in system-level lean transformation tools and techniques rooted in the Toyota Production System, e.g., Kaizen methods, TP, TQM, policy deployment, JIT, Kanban, Hoshin, SMED, 5S, Poka Yoke;

You’ll work with colleagues and clients from a wide range of business areas across the world to develop purchasing strategies. This includes gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing recommendations for presentation to client management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, advanced degree preferred;

• Minimum 10 years of global purchasing experience for large organizations, e.g. Automotive, IT/High-tech, Industrial/Consumer Goods, or Retail sector;

• Strong foundational knowledge of purchasing and strategic sourcing principles such as: TCO, supplier collaboration, design to cost, risk management, price leverage, organizational design, global sourcing, etc.;

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;

You will work with colleagues and clients from a wide variety of business areas to develop innovative supply chain solutions, while maintaining a broad perspective. You will make an important contribution to the analysis, design, and implementation of business performance approaches, developing tailor-made solutions and working closely with clients to ensure positive impact and sustainable results.From there, you will implement those recommendations with client team members. You will also work together with other staff from our worldwide Operations Practice to further develop our concepts, whilst expanding your own knowledge and skills. 

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of Supply Chain Management and/or Consulting experience preferably in Automotive, IT/High-tech, Industrial/Consumer Goods, Retail or General Merchandising Store (GMS) and Logistics Services sector;

• Previous experience managing: the design and implementation of logistics strategy, network or warehouse optimization, supply chain planning and management processes, supply chain modelling and optimization, supply chain software;

• Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization;

You’ll be part of our global knowledge network, which includes more than 1,800 knowledge professionals who work alongside our consultants and clients to generate distinctive insights and proprietary knowledge. You’ll support client engagements, applying standard supply chain assessment tools to identify and quantify improvement opportunities throughout clients’ supply chains. You’ll help clients to build supply chain capabilities, potentially applying supply chain academy modules as part of a client study or dedicated training program. You will also build firm knowledge, through client work and internal initiatives. You will be responsible for codifying key learnings from engagements and maintaining our supply chain case library. 

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree;

• 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, e.g., planning, inventory management, or distribution;

• Experience with supply chain techniques, e.g., S&OP;

• Very strong analytical and modeling skills with a mastery of Excel;

• VB capability is a plus;

• At least 3 years of experience in direct implementation of service transformation;

• Trained thoroughly in Lean manufacturing/Six Sigma;

• Proof of significant lead time reduction or productivity improvement;

What You Will Do

You will work with colleagues and client staff to identify the value leakage and loss from complex chemical process or management system, and design corrected solution accordingly. Lead clients to implement the countermeasures so as to make changes to shop floor and management mechanism, during when build up the best practice as well as client capability for sustainable long-term creation. You will address frontline operations improvement in terms of yield, OEE quality and EE, as well as process/parameter optimization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in high-performance refinery, petrochemical, chemical or pharmaceutical industries;

• Solid knowledge and exposure to traditional lean transformation tools and techniques, e.g., Kaizen methods, TP, TQM, policy deployment, JIT, Kanban, Hoshin, SMED, 5S, Poka Yoke, visual management, VSM, SOP, etc.;

• Engineering background is a must, chemical engineering background highly preferred;

• Black belt is a plus.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or master’s degree with an outstanding record of academic achievement or 1-3 years of work experience after completing your undergraduate degree;

• Work experience (if applicable) should include functional and/or consulting experience in an area of operations such as capital productivity, manufacturing, product development, purchasing, service operations or supply chain management.;
