①用the的情况：

谈论 独一无二的东西 ：the world, the sun

地理区域 ：the town, the land, the sea

【注意】 the country/countryside 指 乡下 ，this country指“这个国家”。

He lives out in the country somewhere.

他住在乡下某个地方。

几个“国家”的辨析： country 指 自然地理意义 上的； nation 指 人文、民族意义 上的，而 state着重政治方面 的。

② 如果是指 普遍意义上的概念，也可以不用冠词 （零冠词）。

③如果描述的是 特定情况，用a/an ：

比如，the sky是独一无二的，但我们描述特定场景时，可以说抬头看见一片蓝天，a bright blue sky。

①表示一类事物：

the+单数可数名词

复数可数名词

例：the computer和computers都指“电脑”，但a computer指“一台电脑”，the computers特指那一批电脑。

② 下定义时，常用a+单数可数名词 ：

A corkscrew is a gadget for getting corks out of the bottles.
