This position will be located in either Tokyo, Japan or Shanghai, China. This position will require frequent travel.
Responsibilities:
Utilize broad, in-depth knowledge and understanding of product lines to translate product, customer and application knowledge into product selection and/or use recommendations that improve product performance and provide increased value to the customer
Create product application presentations and documentation
Identify and suggest products specific to customer needs
Assist Engineering in the analysis of product failures, the generation of the related failure reports and communication of failure analysis and recommendations to the customer
Maintain communications and contacts to collect and analyze operational and technical information for the product line
Provide technical expertise and product applications training to the customer and internal departments
Lead customer projects
Work with Senior Scientists/Applications Specialists to produce white papers
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Polymer Science, Materials Science, or related field required
Field Applications and/or Technical Sales experience preferred
Must be fluent in English or Japanese
Strong knowledge of rheology required
Strong analytical and technical skills required
Strong communication skills required - must be able to communicate effectively with customers
Must be self-motivated
