电影是一门艺术，是一种综合建筑音乐绘画雕塑诗和舞蹈这六种艺术的”第七艺术”。

提到艺术，很多人自然而然想到的，是宏伟的建筑，复杂的雕刻，镶着华美相框的油画，还有无法欣赏的色块。但艺术并不是梦幻而遥不可及，它源于生活，源于热爱生活的每一个人，如果可以，每个人都是艺术家。

然而欣赏艺术，从来不是一蹴而就。此次影展，我们不仅要用电影向艺术致敬，也反溯传世之作的源头，向艺术家们致敬。

那些宏伟的建筑雕塑、伟大的艺术作品，有我们未曾见过的一角一落、一鼻一眼。在3D/4K摄制的高清立体画面呈现下，以前所未有的视角，触摸历史长河沉淀的璀璨杰作，体会艺术品是如何忠实记录并储存了过去的文明。即便亲眼见过这些艺术殿堂和作品，或曾观看过相关的纪录影片，你都未曾产生过如此震撼、如此丰盛的体验与感触。

Italian film theoretician Ricciotta Canudo came up with the expression "seventh art" in a manifesto published in 1911, in which he argued that the cinema synthetized the spatial arts - architecture, sculpture and painting, with the temporal arts -music, poetry and dance. (the Birth of SeventhAart -Ricciotto Canudo 1911)

In the age of banking and digital humanity the arts have been upstaged, with the development of the modern system of art autonomisition and aesthetic regulation, in our commonsense, art should be articulated with the limitations, for example:   sophisticated techno and crafts, magnificent beaux arts, delicate paintings, and so on. But art is subjective. In fact, there is no one universal definition of art but there is general consensus that art is the conscious creation of something beautiful or meaningful using passion and imagination. In a another word, we are all potential artist.To better satisfy every art enthusiast, and to solute all artists from different period, we will offer audiences a valuable chance by holding a Italian documentary film month as never seen before. The subsequent month will be full of surprisingly good films with detailed introduction of The Vatican Museums, Florence and the Uffizi Gallery, Teatro alla Scala-The Temple, St. Peter's and the Papal Basilicas of Rome, Leonardo Da Vinci’s art work.

Add to all this possibilities for attracting new audiences via 3-D immersive video and 360 degree photography, the increase in digital cinemas, the mix of serious subjects told through angles to reach out to as never seen before, and a renewed dedication to authenticity from commissioning editors and one was left with a kind of optimism which both accepts a reality in which funding may appear to be more difficult to find but in which the new models are beginning to show some light at the end of the tunnel. As never seen before create revolutionary paradigm by simply inviting people to go to the cinema instead of traveling around the world – it marks a new era of cinema.
