Instructions sent by the project team. This house is located at the foot of a majestic rock in Malinaco, San Juan district, known for its lush vegetation and unique landscape. It fully utilizes the unique landscape, harmoniously combining with the natural environment and existing farmhouses, improving the connection between inhabited spaces and the surrounding landscape.

This project follows the concept of a 'soft loft', which is a continuous space that promotes an open, fluid, and flexible living experience. The open design of the space emphasizes freedom of movement, maximizing the sense of spaciousness through high ceilings and large windows that form the framework of the landscape and allow for profound visual and physical connections between the interior and exterior.

The integration with nature is key: rocks become the protagonist of the space, an active part of the project, using large windows to enhance their presence, promote interaction, and provide ample natural light. The building area of this house is 72 square meters, complemented by a terrace with a massage bathtub and a interstitial garden, enhancing the experience of connection with the natural environment. This garden also creates a green area as a comprehensive element of visual barrier and landscape. Although the space has continuity, the chimney plays a central role in this project, not only because of its actual function, but also because it is a key element of spatial configuration, defining the area without interrupting spatial continuity.
Material selection and application

The selection of materials reflects a desire to integrate into the local landscape and utilize Malinalco's constructive traditions. Stone is the main material, paying tribute to the traditional architecture of the region and utilizing the skills of local builders in managing stones and quarries. The floor, countertop, and bathroom are made of polished concrete, and their colors are obtained by mixing cement with local soil, creating a unique color tone that strengthens the connection between the project and its environment. The roof structure is composed of Vigueta and Bovedilla, with a final finish of white plaster, as are the brick walls. This creates a continuous and fluid atmosphere, where stone walls and framed landscapes of rocks and landscapes stand out..
