I'm a 14 year old girl here are the rules my parents set for me:
I am not allowed to shut or lock my bathroom door even while taking a shower.
not allowed to wear headphones if alone so they can monitor what I am watching.
when I get out of school I'll text my mum, once on the school bus I'll text her again then I'll call her when I get home.
before downloading any apps or music ask for permission.
show them everything in my school bag (and all tests) everyday.
not allowed to close my bedroom door
Must hand over my phone and laptop evryweek for them to check my texts, emails and photos.
no facebook, instagram or snapchat.
no going out with friends without my mum present.
shower at 8:00 till 8:30 or they will come in and turn the water off.
must be asleep by 10:00 ( it's 3:10 am now) if caught awake they will check on me every four hours to make sure I am asleep, if caught twice a parent will sleep in bed with me for three days.
ask for permission before eating something.
Must be downstairs for ‘family time’ for at least two hours.
Mum chooses what I wear at all times.
I have to go with her whenever she goes outside e.g. shopping.
Must walk the dog with her. If I go alone send a video every ten minutes.
I have to tuck my mum in goodnight or she refuses to leave my room.
must ask permission before watching a tv show or movie.
Only allowed three hours of electronics.
I must ask my mum if I can be friend with someone and allow my mother to chat to their mother before becoming friends.
these are not all the rules but some I think you get the point, this is too strict, it makes life really boring and having these I have a overwhelming fear of breaking them that causes me to have panic attacks, please if you are a parent let your child have a bit a freedom.
Vocabularies:
tuck sb. in:To tuck someone in is to cover them with a blanket (possibly tucking it in around the child's body), maybe give a kiss goodnight, and turn off the lights. Some parents will tell or read a story. If an older child was ready for bed then they might go to their parents and say “will you come tuck me in?”. 为……盖好被子、哄……睡觉;
electronics:电子产品;
panic attacks:sudden periods of intense fear that may include palpitations, sweating, shaking, shortness of breath, numbness, or a feeling that something bad is going to happen.
palpitation:n. 心悸、跳动、颤动;
numbness:n. 麻木、麻痹;
